I'm with Realist. I've modified many vehicles in my past and no one will give you anything for the mods. As nice as the car is, and it is very nice, even with all of the mods left on the car I think you would be hard pressed to get $40K for it. Typically, the people that would want your vehicle as is, won't have the cash to pay for it and banks aren't going to finance the accessories. But best of luck on making it happen.

I like the car and hope you the best in selling it. No one is going to pay $50k for the car though. That's retail for the car plus the mods. You don't have the RS package or the Recaro seats, you removed the more desirable 10 spoke 1LE wheels, and it seems like everyone has a stigma for black cars. Advertising it as unraced with a new set of rear tires means that the car even though not raced had a hard 4,600 miles on it. I'd just swap the tires and remove that from the ad. You'll be lucky to get $40k for it. I'd build an extra garage or find a place I could store it and just buy the Z06 if you can afford both.

I would look for a high end dealer that will put the car on consignment.

In Michigan we have places like this http://www.pmc-detroit.com/

They will take the vehicle in on consignment and have a much large customer exposure than you could ever ask for.

As far as price??? It is whatever someone is willing to pay. The problem you have is that you have taken a brand new vehicle and removed the warranty on the engine by modding it, thus removing potential customers. At $50K and 500HP a potential buyer could pick up and almost new ZL1 with similar power, better brakes, more advanced suspension and a warranty. They can drag it or track it and if it breaks the dealer gets the keys to fix it.

If you dont want to try consignment as is I would remove as many items as possible to return it as close to stock as you can and recoup cost by selling the parts. Then post it for sale with anything that cant be changed or that is left on the car.

@ OK@DRUL - the car is as advertised, Never Raced...Not sure if you have rode in a M6 800+ RWHP 5th Gen Camaro with 3.91 gears, but it won't get traction with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 305/35/R20 (breaks traction at 75mph on the Interstate when I stomp it in 3rd gear)...Installing the Drag Radials ( still have the original rear tires to sell with the car) to run around town on was my only option for trying to stay out of a wreck or ending up in a ditch...This car is very well known around Louisiana and the car shows, and everyone who knows me from the shows knows it has never been dragged on the strip. The car has never seen rain as well...thanks!

My thought is you could get more than $50k. It's essentially a better ZL1 that you have built, and it has low mileage. What does a new ZL1 cost? $58,000 plus/ minus including tax.

Now, how easy it would be to sell is the tough part. How long are you willing to wait?

Still, if I were you, I'd keep it.
Just so you know if does not include the supercharger so it is not as good as a ZL1

I agree with you. Just making an observation for how the ad could be perceived. I've seen other posts from you and others about your show history. Nice truck in the background as well.

Yeah exactly, you can get a used ZL1 for alot less than 50k. I think you would be lucky to get 43-44

@Boydr12 - Please read my first post, 2nd paragraph, "I'm taking off the Whipple 2.9L supercharger, Fuel System (putting the stock fuel rails and stock fuel injectors back on), and the Alky Methanol Injection system...bringing the power down from 800rwhp to 500rwhp....It won't be comparable to the ZL1 then"

I very much understand this!!!

As Dropspeed said, there are dealers that will put it on consignment, when I went for my last oil change they had a ZR1 on the showroom floor on consignment, and as said that will help the exposure and maybe give the buyer a warm cuddly feeling being they are buying it off a dealers floor. As you said demodding is an option, then do that. You will get more in the end selling all those great parts on C5, and also prob sell the 1LE faster too. Good Luck Man!!! I really hope you get this figured out.

Do you still have the black 10 spokes? I would put stock hood back on also.

Did you try posting it on the vette forum for a trade for a comparable Z06.

Car is gorgeous. Why in the world would you want a vette over a 800 rwhp beast that you made your own 1 of 1?
Anyways for what your selling with the car I wouldn't take a dime less then 42k...
Personally it doesn't seem your hard up for a quick sell I would de mod it completely to stock taking my time and get way more of your money back..
I think your crazy to get rid of it but good luck on your sale.
