Did not have to change drive shaft 2012 LFX SS differential swap
I have a 2012 LFX A6 Camaro and I just changed the whole rear differential(2012), axles and hubs from a SS M6 so it's a 3.45. My fyi is I DID NOT HAVE TO CHANGE THE DRIVE SHAFT, Everything bolted right up! This is and expensive modification but well worth it if you really like your 2012 A6, and want it more get up and go.

Where did you get the SS rear end, dealer? Aftermarket? Now you got me thinking. Thanks

Ebay, low mileage parts can be found all over ebay and the net. I got the ss axles from SLP with less than 10 miles on them. Hubs I got at the dealer, I bought a used ss drive shaft from a parts salvage site, but I did not have to use it. It's for sale.

Complete LSD differentials are around 600-900 used low mileage, ss axles were $170 shipped, hubs at my dealer were $191 plus tax each, installation $375. SS drive shaft was $200 low mileage shipped, but was not installed. My butt dyno is quite happy with these gears, plus now it is limited slip.

I would think it would be the same, but if you have all the stuff but the shaft you should put it on the rack and see. I'll bet it bolts right in like my stuff did. The ss drive shaft is too short btw, o and did I mention for sale?

yea, richmond still owes me a carrier and gears...I had to spend 500 bucks to tell them that the gears won't work on the 2ls.....
