It's going to cost more than a ZL1, making it clearly out of reach for the common man. Boo!

Nor has it ever been intended for him.
I would also argue the ZL1 isnt family of five middle class working guy car territory either.

As a working class guy with a family of 5, I can confirm that.

The reason for no burn outs in this episode is probably due to the stock size non ZL1 rearend and the ultra sticky 305 tires. A burnout cold have caused a failure that would have been on tape and eventually on the Internet.
I also noticed there was no fast corner work either just straight line driving. GM obviously didn't want anything to happen to this show car. |

Awesome car!
With regards to those who will buy them for their collection I feel it's a shame. You're not truly appreciating the car as you're not experiencing it. Using this car as a way to make money years down the road has just robbed someone else an allocation who would have actually driven it. Unfortunately the "limited production" will attract collectors. I don't have the money to consider owning a Z/28 so I certainly can't put myself in the shoes of someone having to decide whether to drive it or not. But I do go to car shows / the drag strip and I see alot of top dollar machines being driven and pushed to their limits. Hats off to those guys/girls! One last thing. My brother in law's dad owns a Ford GT that has 21 km's on it (that's 13 miles). He drove it home to his garage and that's where it has stayed. That's his decision. But I get to hear about how awesome this thing is whenever we get talking cars. I wonder why I hate bubble wrapped cars |

Will they sell the manual seats? And will they be cheaper and than the SS seats? For sure they will be lighter.

Visual... absolutely beautiful! I can't explain it, but all the refresh changes to the front and back... just work on the Z/28. Maybe it's the color... That color is amazing on it, it's a shame it's not going to be a production color, just for the Z/28.
Sound... so damn good! Even at idle... it sounds like the growl of a fierce animal. The sound of the acceleration could give a defibrillator a run for it's money (got my heart pounding!) As to... why no burnout? Maybe Rick Hendrick told Jay not to do any burnouts in his Z/28?

I wonder how much GM paid jay leno to talk up this car. My guess is pretty much since Al & his team cut corners on all the camaro lines. GOT to save money somehow.

North of the price of a ZL1 for an OEM car might be the most economical way to build a Z28.
