LLoyds Trunk Mat for 2014 - Problem, don't buy!

Got a trunk mat for Christmas - suppose to be custom fit but we have 2 "bumps" in the trunk so the mat doesn't sit flat - company tells me no refund because the "bumps" have no purpose and the mats are custom fit..... wow!!

Here is your pic , its shows the mat pulled back and the pieces it is sitting on top of - love the floor mats, its the trunk they are telling me its OK not to sit flat - how can you tell me something that is put in by the manufacturer is "not useful" so we design our "custom fit mat" for the whole trunk and ow by the way its ok that it doesn't sit flat?? That is not custom fit - and that's what I thought they were known for. I would ask if your going to order. I would love to hear I'm crazy and others have the fitted trunk mat that sits flat that's just not what the manufacturer wrote me.

That's like saying you were expecting a square trunk mat but the trunk isn't exactly square. The trunk isn't flat to begin with so how do you expect a trunk mat to change that? Is it a total deal breaker or is it a nice mat?

^^^This

The GM rubber trunk mat is the same way, it is something we all have to deal with so you should just decide if you like the mat itself. I guess you could build up the sides of the bumps with material, to make it less noticeable I suppose.

I am in the other camp, IF it is indeed listed as "custom fit" and not "generic fit". To me that is the same as an off the rack vs tailored suit argument. I would be none to happy if my "custom fit" pant legs were an inch short......

Liked said before the gm mat is the same way. Custom fit means the outline of the trunk and it will fit the trunk. I bet you will not find a mat anywhere that is going around those two bumps.

Indeed, that's not custom fit. That's crap. Why do you guys defend a misleading product? Are you all major shareholders? Or, does it feel like an insult to your floor mats?

So here is another little fun fact - THEY HAVE THEM FOR THE CORVETTE with the cutouts....................

Bottom line is this is not custom by my definition and as you can see from the weathertech mat - there is a company that understands what custom fit means - so yes Gary24 mad as Tom Brady was when he lost to the Seahawks last year, these mats are not cheap and they shouldn't advertise the way they do
