Just picked up the new Ruger SR22 pistol, I will post some pictures of it when I get some free time to upload them.

My dad has one as a concealed carry.

It's a great gun and excellent shooting gun even out to 25 yards. Just don't make too many plans to go out shooting with it. The recoil will absolutely kill your hands and after 20 rounds you'll be done for the day, but than again so will any gun that small with a 380 round.

Look into an LC9, LCP and bodyguard are good but not a fan of .380 for defense. There are ALOT more options in 9m.m. ammo

I have an M1A scout/squad in black synthetic stock. The major differences between it and a SOCOM series are the scout/squad has an 18" barrel, synthetic or wooden stock, and only a tiny rail on top for an optic whereas the SOCOM I has a 16" barrel and the same small rail on top in synthetic stock. SOCOM II has a 16" barrel, cluster rail (basically a quad rail similar to what you see on AR15s), and a synthetic stock.

Who here has their Federal Firearms License and deals firearms over the Internet? I'm interested in obtaining an 01 FFL and starting an Internet firearms business. I had an 03 FFL before (C&R) but I let it drop dead.

Thanks for the replies guys. I found one in perfect shape that the guy wants $1400 for. Socom II, with 2 20 round mags, and the 10 rd mag. Black stock. No optics.

New I see they are about $1600-$1950, plus tax of course. (In MN 7%..so add on another $112-$136.)

That $1400 seem fair? I don't like to buy anything used, but saving $400ish seems like a deal.

That is a good price. I tried to sell mine a few months ago for $1200 with a couple of nibbles but no takers. Mine was built in 1998 and I have the original box and it has never been fired or even loaded.

I know there is more options in the 9mm but what im looking for is concealability (if thats a word). the clothing i prefer to wear is a little for me to easily conceal it, i shot my grandfathers PPK (james, james bond) and really like it as well but im still leaning towards the lil .380 because it fits comfortably into my pocket. why are you not a fan of the .380 other than price if thats of issue
