Help me choose!

It's FI time! Always exciting but I have a GOOD problem!

I can't choose between these two:

- The new Hellion Top Mount TT
- The new Procharger i-1

Both are great setups. I don't think I can go wrong. But, some input from the C5 world could go a long way. My goal is to stay around 750 peak RWHP because I don't want to go through the intensity of over-extensive supporting mods. The internals will stay stock (outside of a great cam setup of course). Which one would you guys go with??

Supporting Mod Plans (will happen at the same time as FI install):

2014 1SS/RS/1LE

- FI Cam with all the goodies
- 850 injectors
- LT headers (only necessary on the i-1)
- Meth Injection
- Boost-A-Pump

Thanks for any help guys! Look foward to joining the FI team!

That didn't take long! I was waiting for that question.

Short answer... I want to be different. There are nothing but good things to say about the AGP system, but I think the only reason we don't see the same from Hellion is because theirs is brand new. They have the same 'top-mount' system for the Mustang that's been around a good while. Similar reviews to the AGP Camaro kit.

Under hood temps is the main concern with top mount twin turbo's. But the room that the LS3 allows is better than most cars (even the mustang with the same system). The mustang crowd hasn't had much complaint with the temps.

I'm all about performance, but looks matter too (show is an equal hobby). I think Hellion has both.

Cool to see that you have a reason for going Hellion over AGP. While we may disagree what looks better under the hood I can understand your choice. There is a thread here about a hellion turbo install posted in 2011 so they have been put in Camaros before their new kit.

AGP kit has a lot more going for it if you really research and look into it IMO. Just the fact that the hellion uses dual 2.5" downpipes is enough reason I wouldn't touch it, let along the heat issues, and welded headers that I would never touch on a street car that sees good mileage.

AGP also comes with BAP and 850cc injectors if you get the fuel kit. Proven to 1400+rwhp. Only kit I know of that has been ran trouble free for 30k+ miles, in hot and cold. AGP also includes catchcan, ceramic coating, and a lot of stuff that many people don't seem to realize. I would call Kevin and he can explain all the differences and advantages.

Over 300k miles on BW turbos, not sure how that applies. The turbos AGP uses are top of the line for reliability and will out torque the I1 all day if you want low end torque.

For 750rwhp you can just bolt on a AGP kit with meth and done. No FI cam, no headers, no heat wrap, no ceramic to add, no upgrading intercooler, no added fuel stuff.

2nd choice IMO would be ECS kit, headers, cam, meth.

Hellion has a lifetime warranty on all of their piping. I'm sure if AGP came out with system for the Mustang, everyone would be recommending the Hellion kit based on that being the only experience. Hellion's reputation is also top notch (just from the rival world).

Actually, since I own a mustang, I would do the FPC kit any day over the hellion kit. Also would do the JPC kit before the hellion kit too.

If you want to be different and spend $2k+ more for similar results, go for it. I've dealt with top mount turbos before, and never again.

If you really want a Hellion kit I would do the bottom mount one that they have had out for awhile now.
