I was just thinking that maybe if I just added a muffler it would help? Would it? Instead of adding j or x pipes could i just add a mangaflow muffler or something?

Or would it still be better to do a j or x pipe?

Adding a muffler would definitely help but that would mean removing the loudmouth 1. If you're fine with that, and want a quiet exhaust, borla or magnaflow are the way to go. Everyone suggests the magnaflow x-pipe (which is basically a muffler) or the j-pipes because that's what you can do without removing the slp lm 1

The x-pipe will eliminate any rasp you may have and help drone some

To the OP. The best thing to do is to get a new axle back. Even with a resonator of any kind unless you add a bunch of then its still gonna be bad. If you get a new axle back it will be alot simpler and lighter.

11386 is the magnaflow part number you want. It is a dual in dual out muffler with a perforated X inside. Intall it far up the exhaust closer to where the pipes come out of the cats. Basically where the stock H pipe would be.

This will help a lot....it has been done many many times.

I would have simply gone with the LMII. There are mufflers and while there is a slight drone at highway speed, it's nothing compared to the muffler delete. Love my LMII. Loud when I want to get on it, and not obnoxious when I want to be a bit more covert.

If you're thinking about using the magnaflow x pipe anyway, why not buy that first and put it on your current setup if you don't like it then, then spring for the LM2. But I think the LM2 and the x-pipe might be exactly what you're looking for

Yeah maybe..any idea how much it would cost to install an x-pipe? Just the axle-back alone cost me $95. I would do it myself but I do not have the tools or the knowledge.

The x-pipe would probably be 1 to maybe 2 hours of work tops. It's really just 4 cuts and weld. Not that hard at all really.

I'm sure if a shop really wanted to get it done quickly, they could do it in 30-45 minutes since they have the right tools

What about the mufflers? What would those cost to install. Also, I can't seem to find the mufflers online. I need them for the V6 2010 Camaro.
