Installed New Red vinyl Interior trim myself! New Exhaust tips and mission pics
Hello everyone one! I installed my interior trim two weeks ago. I removed the door panels, ripped off the fabric from the inserts and wrapped them in red vinyl. I just got back from the muffler shop and they installed my new Flowmaster exhaust tips and removed my resonators. It was super raspy at first under load but then died down. Exhaust note is a lot deeper now. I also included some pictures from an overseas mission I just got home from. I'm aircrew on a C-5. Next project is adding matching red leather to the seats and I have a black carbon fiber Sinister hood from pfyc on order.
Also please dont ask the location of the Airplane pictures. The content of the pics is not an issue but specifics are. Pray for the crews of the Apaches you see in the pictures. They will be gone for quite some time. If anyone has questions on how to do the trim I can tell you all you need to know. IT costs about 50 bucks and takes about an hour to do (the first time) I could do it now in probably 30 minutes. Its cheap, easy, and looks like a million bucks. The vinyl looks like leather up close. This is called opening up a can of whoop a** Last edited by CamaroC-17; 01-26-2011 at 04:43 PM. |

Thanks Guys! I am still stoked about the interior. Bad thing about the tips is I want to look at them! Kinda hard while driving. I was at the store and I was just standing behind the car staring at the tips and my fiancé asked if something was wrong...ha just admiring

Nice job on your Camaro! Looks great.
The C-5 is a monster!! My family had a farm down in Dover and spent a lot of time watching those beasts fly over (farm was in the flight path). Spent a lot of time in the Chinook during my Army Air Assualt days and the company I work for supplies the U.S. Army with the laser warning systems for the Apache! AND I DRIVE A CAMARO!!!!! It's like old home week with all those pics! Thank you for your service to our great country and God bless our troops! Wiley

You should make a DIY on the interior... please
and where did you get your vinyl?

There is already a DIY that I used. The only difference is that I chose vinyl instead of pleather. PLeather is really thin and you have to stretch it to get it it to form right. The glue that is in the DYI didnt work for me since I chose vinyl. I used super upholstery and headliner glue that you can get from auto zone. Its a contact glue made for vinyl and made to be used in cars. Spray it on the insert and back of the vinyl and let it sit for 5 minutes then stick the two together. The sizes of the screws dont have to be exact. Just make sure washers are added as spacers on screws that may be a little too long and that could poke through the door. I got my vinyl from Joan Fabrics. (imagine that) |

Pics look great! I've been wanting to wrap my interior trim, but the LS pieces aren't smooth so I'm not sure how that look...
The other pics are awesome too! I don't think I've ever seen anything that big that can fly! |

I like that even more than the painted plastic inserts that I added to my 1SS.
