If it weren't for my family and the job, I would have been gone long ago.

Yeah, try Iraq when its 130+ outside and wearing full battle rattle. 115 degrees and wearing shorts and a t-shirt doesn't sound so bad.

Well, you do live in a freaking desert! (I lived there for a couple years back in the 80s, so I feel your pain - and sweat).

At first I thought you meant you were sick of "The Five" - I love that show. I was going to suggest just changing the channel.

Hah! True. When it gets below 95, you tend to forget about the summer. Come the end of September, I put the top down on the Solstice, and it doesn't come back up till mid-May.

It was 68 this morning for the drive in to work. Coolest I can remember for August.

Higher altitudes and cooler weather is just north of PHX. I hear Sedona is nice.

After years of blistering summers we are finally getting a break this year. Last year we hit 118 in August, this year weve been in the upper 80s most of the summer and are 27 inches above normal on rainfall. Take it while you can get it. Sorry you guys are suffering though! I can relate.

Yep. Was there last weekend, and in Flagstaff, where we went for dinner, was downright cold! 72 degrees, and we were outside for dinner. Damn near froze! The people who live in Flagstaff...well...they tend to be left-overs from the 60's. Many of them so high, they wouldn't know what temperature it was! (And I am not referring to the 7,000 plus foot altitude of Flag)
