Why I ditched CGM

This has been an agonizing decision. I love CGM. I've seen it on a ZR1 at a couple different shows and it's a gorgeous color.

But it's gray. No matter how amazing of a gray it is it's still gray.

I'm driving home from work the other day and I made a point to really notice all the cars around me. All I see is a sea of grays, dull blacks, and beige colors. All these dull earth tones that all blend into one big mass of boring.

To me, the Camaro is meant to stand out. It desires a color of passion. So, I called my dealer up and switched to IOM. It's not for everyone but I like the color.

I know some people don't want to stand out, they'd rather fit in and not be noticed. But me, I want everyone on the street to see me coming and think "damn, look at that pimp machine."

So what say you? Why'd you pick the color that you did?

True about the most popular colors. Black, grey and white (or shades of these colors) have always been within the top 5 of peoples car color choices. I work in a hi-rise and when I look down on parking lots, you basically see the 3 colors with a splash of blue and red shades.

Hopefully I'll be able to keep my CGM order, but if it gets in the way of me getting it on time then I have decided to switch to ABM if necessary. That color is growing on me. Whatever color you are comfortable with is the one you need to choose. GL

I will be ordering Orange when i do order a Camaro Z28. It gives the most "pop" out of all the colors IMO

I was between black with orange stripes or iom with black. for the same reason i am getting ORANGE. i live in miami 1 black is too damn hot in the summer. 2 the camaro is meant to be noticed as well as me lol. 3 its miami gotta have a orange camaro when im driving around south beach!!!!!!!

My friend is a big fan of the CGM as well. It does look cool, but I'd rather go pure black or pure silver. I've already owned a black car and it was a BEAR to keep clean. This time it's silver all the way. Honestly I think it's the sharpest color for this car - my taste is somewhat skewed by the fact that my first muscle car was a 1970 Pontiac LeMans which was silver with a black vinyl top - and I LOVED that color.

I did consider the Yellow or Orange as well as "standout" colors - but I decided against it. Also "standout" colors standout to cops more too

I switched my order from CGM to Black. Uncertain what the CGM will look like on the camaro. My husband was freaking about it so we compromised and changed to black. I told him I will be getting some kind of striping down the road of my choosing. Now we both are happy.

Actually my current vehicle is sunburst orange so the transition won't be all that shocking

I am also partial to orange on vehicles, always wanted one, but everything i owned would look retarded with orange. And i am sick of black.
