Camaro shut down

I am looking for help on my 88 camero. When I start the car the car will run until the temperature gauge starts to move then it shuts itself off and will not start again until it cools down. I have replaced the fuel pump and the thermostat. What else can I do, the engine itself sounds good.

non vented gas cap. I bought a 1970 formula real cheap because the owner couldn't figure it out.

just pull off the gas cap and see if it keeps running

or wait til it does it again and try to remove it, if there is any pressure or vacuum, you have a problem

thanks. Removed the gas cap, car still ran till temperature gauge moved up, then shut itself down. Gas cap was easy to remove.

Had the same problem with my '87. Ended up being the distributor. Probably just a bad contact in the electronics of it. I had an extra one to try and that cured it. Mine would run until it got up to temp and then die. I would then have to give it 5-10 minutes and then it would run all day.
