Question Manual shifting question

Hello and good morning fellow c5 members, quick question for you!
It seems like when shifting, regardless of which gear I go into, the throw seems kinda clunky, as in you feel like you're going through something, and some times it actually makes a little sound! It's not an annoyance or anything, but my brother has a cruze eco with the 6 speed, and the throw is as smooth as butter! Just wondering if any of you guys experience what I'm talking about! Thanks!

I have a 2012 1LS and it does the same thing. I've just gotten used to it over the last year.

Have you changed your clutch fluid recently?

It's notchy by design, so it doesn't pop out of gear under heavy acceleration.

[QUOTE=Comrando;6486733]More power + heavier vehicle = stronger transmission.

You don't want butter, you need grease.

mine is a little clunky as well. thinking about an aftermarket shifter, but its starting to feel more normal... when its in gear, its engaged type of feel.

Ya it's not the smoothest shifting around. I drove an rsx once that was very smooth. Putting in Mobil1 synthetic ATF into the trans helped out a lot.
