is there any drone with Borla axle backs

I am considering Borla-S axle backs. I have a manual trans. Is there any irritating highyway drone with this axle back (only) system ? Standard trans. Thanks in advance for your comments.

"Drone" is very subjective and what is terrible for one person is barely noticeable to others. That being said, there is a slight drone with the S-Type axle back at highway speed but it isn't bad. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up. We are a Borla distributor and I would be happy to work with you.

Will this slight drone become annoying after a 1 to 3 hour ride ?

You will only notice the drone if you listen to no music at all and you have an L99 (you will get the sounds of AFM and drone)...LS3 isn't as bad. Mainly because you can control the RPM levels...if you even listen to your music at level "7" on our stock head unit you will not hear it at all on either vehicle..

It is not bad at all if you only have the axle back.

Yes. It bugs me most when I have people in the car. When I am alone I don't care. I will at some point do the Helmholz mod and eliminate it.

I have a Borla axle back on my L99 and there was drone but not really that annoying really, like others have said if you have the radio on and crusing you won't hear it.

I was under the impression that the drone issue was only on the L99 because of the AFM with that said my AFM has been deleted by a custom tune and new CAI so my car sounds completely different now. But I will tell you this the Borla axle back sounds great now with the new intake.
