meaning he offered 34k and if he owes 20k on his SS, but they are willing to give him 28k for it, then he would get 8k on top of the 34k...if that makes sense.

I'm blonde I guess 'cause that makes no sense LOL, seems to me if he owes 20k but they give him 28k then there's still 6k he has to account for somewhere, and there is NO way a dealer will sell a '12 45th anniversary SS for $34k. MAYBE if it was used, but even then I doubt it, and I highly doubt it was used

where are you getting 6k from?

lets say he has an ss that he still owes 20k. the dealer looks over his car and it's in excellent condition. So they say to him, we will give you $28k for your car. that means they will pay off his car (20k) and he will have 8k left over. that will go towards his new car. plus the 34k he offered.

it's a stretch, but just sayin.

The selling price of any vehicle has nothing to do with what you owe on your trade vehicle, plus or minus if anything at all.

I'm well aware of this, having bought and sold a dozen cars..

Well Criswell accepted my deposit for a 2012 ZL1 back on
feb 1st of 2011. We had a verbal agreement that I would
pay MSRP. Only to get a phone call 6 months latter that if
I wanted the car it would cost me 10k over MSRP. I was at the
time first on the list of 6 they were allocated to recieve. So I got
my deposit and had to start looking all over again. I did find an
honest dealer in our area Oursman Chevy in Rockville and will
be picking up my ZL1 2013 in the near future at MSRP.

Criswell lost me as a customer, and all the people I would have
sent them if they would have kept there original agreement.
