I have the SJM Line Lock. It was a simple install. It has a 2 Step system as well. A Master Toggle switch to arm the system and then a red light illuminates. Then you have to hold down another red button to use the line loc.

Yep, my SJM was a pretty easy install, and seems to be functioning perfect so far. But then again, it doesn't get used very often!!! I think it's funny, at car shows, everyone always asks if my line lock button is for Nitrous!!!!

It turned out that my solenoid malfunctioned and it had less than 8 passes on it at the track. When I contacted the vendor I was told that the warranty is only 90 days and that maybe Hurst could rebuild it for me at a cost. I purchased the unit last fall and was planning to use it at the last few track days of the season but after getting the wrong adapters that plan was shot. So I had to wait until this year and the solenoid goes bad, and I find out that it's out of warranty! A replacement solenoid is $150. I haven't decided what I want to do yet, but I am not really happy with this (it just happened last week). Debating on whether I want to try another brand or just forego the line lock since Hurst doesn't stand behind their products- at least this one. When it worked, I liked it, but I should not have to worry whether it's going to work or not.
Hurst did not impress me with their customer service, or should I say their lack of customer service. If I had it to do over I would buy another brand. I think they are another company that is riding on their past reputation, while forgetting that quality and customer service is what got them that reputation. Sad to see so many companies forget that their customers are the ones that made them a success, because without customers you're just burning dollars.
