The 5.0's competition is the Camaro SS...Such a weird match up, there isn't a winner here, there can't be they are all in different classes.

I think the intent was to show the range of choices available to customers of the big threes "muscle cars"....I mean, if Ford had a track only car similar to the Z/28 they might have shown it and then a ZL1 or 1le from Chevy...

I agree the Z/28 was the "odd-ball".....I believe the Fords and Dodges will be produced like hot-cakes, whereas the Z/28 is limited in numbers produced....

Overall it was a good, informative overview of the top three cars from each maker...

I race a Camaro 1LE and the first thing I noticed when they drove the Z28 was they were braking too early and accelerating out of turns too late. Those are two areas in which the Z/28 and to a lesser extent, the 1LE, excel. I don't know how much experience the driver had in the Z/28 but it was obvious he was not pushing the car hard at all. On the other hand it looked to me that he was really driving the Mustang hard by taking it deeper into turns. I don't want to claim he wanted to get closer numbers but something seems a bit off comparing the two runs.

I'm wondering why the Mustang sounds so bad now. They used to sound pretty good out of the box, but that one sounded like it was choked up by the mufflers.

I think they compared/chose those three cars and pitted them up against each other because they are each the top of the line cars that are available at the time of the comparison. The GT350 isn't available yet to the media and there's a debate as to which is top of the line in the camaro line-up but I guess in this instance they thought the Z/28 was.

Thought it was as good impartial review but I did think the driver was not driving the Z/28 hard at all when compared to the mustang. Either way, nice article/video.

GM will build as many Z28s as people want, it's just that not many people want it. I wouldn't call that a limited production car.

personally I think, and im sure we can all agree, this comparison is a little silly. a track car vs a standard car vs a overpowered grad touring car.

I did however enjoy the craaaazy burnouts with the hellcat.
