In your case, if it doesn't it may be a worth while test to stick something similar in there, I'd even try in front of, and behind the MAF.

Question though, can you get this same intake for a VE Commodore for an LFX? If you can, is it EXACTLY the same? Or does the intake change for the LLT vs LFX? If it's the same, and it works on an LFX, there's really no reason it shouldn't work now, (which the exception that you've modified the LFX intake opening, so I guess that may be your problem)... Vacuum leak at the isolator maybe? Try a tube style intake and see if the problem goes away? Just trouble shooting out loud here.
That was exactly what i was going to try, the intake doesn't have a 'airflow straightner'. If i decide to go ahead with it i need to work out how i'm going to fix it in place. Or i might avoid that all together and just get another LFX intake, haven't decided just yet.

The intake differs in the MAF sensor and has a few humps in the part that go over the radiator to clear brackets, no mesh work at all.

LFX Manifold on LLT

Don't cut the grid up top, i think it's important for maintaining manifold pressure while cruising. I will be buying another LFX manifold from a wreckers ASAP to be 100% certain.

I also do have an OTR intake, which is probably not helping.

But we don't have an OTR intake for the LFX in the Camaro either. I guess we'll see what kjkjr27 has to say when he installs his, as it was the ported one from the dyno test off of my old car.

Sorry forgot about this thread. Install of the LFX intake went smoothly. Only issue I had was that the wires for the eval were a little short but just unraveled them a bit and the plug reached.

Despite my lingering ignition issues I have had zero problems having this intake installed. There has been no surging or anything, runs smoothly. I have noticed an increase in torque which is nice. Put a couple hundred miles on the car with the intake so far and took it to Watkins Glen International and I must say I am very happy with it. Also the loss of 11lbs off the front end of the car is very nice

Here are a few pics of it installed:

How does the LFX manifold compare to the LLT manifold with the ICE-olator intake spacer?

Well it is 11lb lighter. I have a ported LFX manifold and there is a noticeable increase in torque from swapping it.

My friends neighbor is looking at it this weekend see what he can do for me. Another issue ran across, coolant leaking from the rear of the engine. Figured I would change oil while I had it up in the air and once the splash shield was removed the coolant poured out and the foam piece on my splash shield is soaked in coolant.

Anyone who did the swap having an issue getting the evap system to ready? Put over 400 miles since the swap and can't get the evap to ready up to pass emissions.
