still no 1/4 mile times?
I see the fast list still has no times. I know that's not what this car was meant for but I have a hard time believing no one has taken their car to the strip. As stiff is the car is I figure 60 ft will be hard to get under high ones low 2s. I still figured some 11 second runs. Anyone?

this car sucks at the 1/4 mile. One guy ran a 12.4 in the heat. I could only muster a 13.0 due to wheel hop. I felt like it was going to break the rear with the axle tramp that occurred. Take it to the road course where it belongs and everyone will be happy.

A 12.4 in the heat isn't to far from 11s. Even a cammed bolt on car would be nice to know.

GM didn't even know the 1/4 times when the car was released. 1/4 doesn't matter for the car. Road course...

My guess is more than 50% will never see a road course either.

I have been to the Drag Strip Twice, the best time I could muster was a 13.66 @ 110 mph
I am not a great driver mind you, My problem was getting off the line with the wheel spin in first and second gear, It really hooked up in 3rd and 4th gear. I'm sure a more qualified driver could get a stock Z28 to run in the high 12 second area. But I sure had a lot of attention with the crowd loving my Z28 This is a great car and a lot of fun |

Glad to see you post some times. I bet it does get some attention. Best looking car of the camaro line up imo. A lot to say about Na power also.

I just ran mine at the 1/4 mile outside of Pittsburgh. The fastest time I got was a 12.3. The car was spinning real bad off the launch and in second gear. This was my first time at a drag strip so I will be looking forward to going again in the next few weeks to try to work on my launches. The car isn't stock and currently has 560 at the wheel with a cam and a few other bolt ons.

My car isn't stock. I'm about 615hp due to cam, long tube headers, high flow cats. I run the car on road course and autocross. My wife drag raced it at camarofest and the best time she got was 12.6. She runs the car with all the nannies on. So it cut fuel when it starts spinning. Also running Bridgestone RE-11's instead of the Prielli's.

not a drag car
On the latest episode of Drive.
Chris Harris in a STOCK 2015 Mustang 5.0, smokes Matt Farah in a 2015 Z/28. Z/28's are not for drag racing. They are slow. Sorry guys. |
