Just received #6787 - MSRP plus USAA discount
Last night I picked up my 2LT/RS from Suburban Chevrolet in Ann Arbor, MI. It's an IOM with black rally stripes, sun roof, and 20" polished aluminum wheels. It was actually a pre-order from last fall that someone backed out of, so I took their spot in mid-March. I was hoping to have it by the end of April, and it was built (3800?) on May 7th, but the status was never updated again. Finally, it showed up on the dealer's lot on Monday.
They wouldn't offer employee or military pricing, but did accept the GM-USAA promotion, saving me $750, so I actually paid under MSRP, plus was able to use $1000 from my dad's GM card. You'll also notice some detailing work on the rear fenders. The guy that applied the stripes at the dealership also had some fender details he wanted to market, but didn't have any pictures of, so he did mine for free. It was risky, but I think it adds to the overall uniqueness of the car. All in all, I love it, and it's far more impressive than the BMWs and Audi's my peers at work drive! |

Why wouldn't they accept the military discount pricing? My dealership told me that they would when I ordered it, it was the USAA discount I was worried about them not accepting.
They're condition for the military pricing was that it still be valid at time of sale, which is fair and I know the USAA discount is good through the end of the year. |

Negative...I didn't finance through USAA, and I'm not in the Army anymore...
I'd only heard about the USAA discount this week. Luckily my dealer was able to get it through. I'm not sure who eats the cost, USAA or GM, or if it's shared. The dealership wouldn't budge on either employee or military pricing though. I'm not in the military anymore (completely out as of March), but was hoping I'd be eligible for something.
Hopefully someone else can at least take advantage of the USAA offer...it was the only savings the dealership would let me use. |

I'm guessing that type of discount would have to be applied at the time the vehicle is ordered?
Maybe? |

Nope
I ordered the vehicle in March, and didn't mention the discount until this week, after the dealer took delivery of my Camaro.

When your car comes in ask you sales man/woman to look up the current discounts and rebate sheet. USAA is offered by GM directly. Bring in your membership card or current insurance card to prove that you are a member.....or if you are using a USAA loan you should be set.
If they will NOT honor the discount explain that GM should reimburse them and that they (dealer) is not out any money what so ever. Good Luck!!!

Is the military discount a GM incentive or is it from the dealer?
