Hey everyone. I'm trying to get HIDs installed by the guys I always go to but they ran into a problem. Only one bulb turns on at first and the othe turns on only after you reset the lights using the knob on the dash. I have a non rs with eagle eyes and suspect it has to do with the DRLs not running enough juice. Solutions?

Yup, you're correct, it's because the DRL's have a lower voltage. You'd need to somehow reroute the power through a relay than only sends power to the headlights when it's full voltage (ie after dark), or somehow disable the DRL function completely.

Something like these harnesses would work. Since you have the eagle eyes w/ an HID kit, I have no clue which harness would work with the kit you have.

i have an axel back amarican thunder and its still kinda quiet im used to a louder car

iv thought about doin a resonated X pipe but did a lil reading and ppl say it makes it a lil quieter lol

Thanks, I tried to see what they did today and it almost seems right? They put the ballasts in the way and it's knocking into the driver's side bulb. I'm kinda surprised by the crappy work. Another thought I had was they used a 55w kit which again may be too much for the DRLs.

Solution: get money back, have them uninstall everything, buy a 35w slim kit and h13 relay harness, DIY.
