I have a question. I'm going to be putting a twin turbo kit on my Camaro and my goal is 1000hp. Now I heard that if your looking for that high of horsepower it's better off having the front mount turbos instead of the rear mount. I saw some high horsepower Camaros on YouTube with rear mount but I would like to have other peoples thoughts?

Front mount all the way !!! The agp kit seems to be one of the best ones going right now...

In general you're going to want front or mid mounts.

Depending on your roads and if your prone to flooding or not front mounts would probably be my vote. Mid mounts are kind of low. Here's a pic of how mine ride, kind of hard to see but you get the picture..

I had to mid mount my V because we just didnt' have space to front mount them and I didn't want to start cutting stuff up.

AGP kit has the filters above the center line of the wheels and nothing is below the frame. All those issues are non-existant on their kit. Depending on your motor setup, you can just do the base 56/61 kit and go make 1100rwhp, or get bigger if you have a larger motor. There are 5-6 1000+rwhp AGP kit cars now with the base turbos and more than that with the larger ones.

Didn't I also see an option to put the filters inside the fender?

Yes, they have a set up that places the filters in the fender well area.

Like Blake said, there is an option to put them up by the rear view mirrors. It sounds super cool and if you are getting water there, your entire transmission is under water, and you are up to water past your waist. Even the stock AGP location water would be pouring into through the doors. I would be more worried about water damage to the interior/electronics than hurting a turbo. Don't try to cross rivers and you are fine.

Rear mount Don't do it. Mid Mount or Top Mount would be advised. Mid mount should give you slightly cooler engine bay temps. I have 30k miles on my Mid mount turbos and I haven't had any issues.

And I bet that car runs 9s over and over again not just on perfect days, without needing bags of ice, a new motor every 3 months, etc.

That car has the IPS kit on it.

I have the AGP with the optional intake kit where the filters are located in the fenders. It sound's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
