Issue acknowledging others

Usually when I am riding in an older car I wave at people and they wave back if they are driving something older (say a restored chevy). Yesterday while driving my 2011, I waved at someone with a nice SS and as soon as I waved they flipped me the bird. The same thing happens when I wave at a new Challenger or Mustang owner. Is there a reason for assholery?

They got the problem..NOT you..I wave at other Camaro owners EVERY TIME I see 'em, most of the time they just look at me like I'm from another planet, but a nice SS passed me yesterday, and the guy waved, first time in a LONG time...

Glad to see there is someone with a Camaro not stuck up their own butt. It just seems like a common courtesy thing to me, like holding open a door.

I hope this changes soon. Its a habit to wave at people and I look like a total retard when someone does that when I wave at them

Seriously, you wave at someone and they flip you off? First, they are NOT a car guy I can guarantee you that. Second, they've got some freaking issues. What the hell is wrong with people.

I haven't had my car long, but so far I've had other 5th gen Camaros wave, honk, or rev the engine as they go by.

Exactly. The only wave I have ever gotten was from a guy in a new Challenger who had to be like 99 years old probably driving to the graveyard to die. The elderly are kind yet people my age (20) are such dick heads.

I wave at every other Camaro I see (esp the 5th gens b/c that's all I'm good at identifying on the fly LOL!) - and if someone waved at me I'd wave back (unless I was spaced out and didn't see them) regardless of what they were in. I've never had anyone flip me off - where the F do you live?

I use to wave, but now I don't even take the time to look and give them attention. I use to always go out of my way to wave or speed up and give a nod. Not everyone is as much pride as we do in our cars...

1/2 the time I can't see in the other car anyway due to tints or glare from the sun. So I just do a small wave with my hand still on the wheel and I don't worry too much if they wave back...or worse.

Some people are simply not nice.

Occasionally I forget to wave back at someone because I'm watching the road or whatever so don't take it too personally if it is my car.
