anyone got ideas on painting engine cover - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am going to paint my stock engine cover tomorrow.
I was thinking something like this
side all same color red with silver painted to look like bolts. middle semi gloss black. red V8.
Quick paint shop mock up

final.. im done for now.. I quite LoL

Im going to airbrush my dads.. his should come out good.. just waiting on him to tell me colors he wants

Well since your car is a CGM i would say do gloss black in the middle and Gray on the Fuel rail areas and then Black or Red writing. Might make it more ideal for the CGM. Im not sure what other colors your car has maybe you could show us with a picture of the engine bay.

reason i was doing that I was always a big fan of the LS7 engine covers

this temporary till I can afford roto fabs engine cover

well i went and bought an airbrush gun. you know its harder then it looks..
i tried making home made stencil. needed thicker paper. printer paper wouldnt stay down. then i watered down the paint too much so it ran. i'll re-do tomorrow or something.. stop when i messed up the one side..

cant wait to save up for roto fab engine cover haha

check out reflective concepts.com
you can get any color, laser cut
i used them on mine and just clear coat over them
