Drag radial
Hey guys i was wondering if you can link me to the proper drag radial that fits the camaro. Maybe the one that hennessy or any of the other guys that have good 1/4 mile times already are using.
Thanks in advance. |

I don't have a link, but also try Mickey Thomson. I've had a pair on my '02 Z28 and ran mid-1.6Xs at 3900 lbs. through 3.23s with an SS3800 converter. I left the line at about 2500 RPMs. Those things bite like no one's business! It's going to be hard, IMVHO, to hook, even with drag radials, on 20s though because of a lack of sidewall. Still, it's not like many people are going to swap the rear rotors and calipers for smaller ones to run smaller-diameter wheels and taller sidewall tires.
Also, look into BFGoodrich I've seen better times, more consistantly, on the MT DRs though EDIT: I can't find anything through them now on Summit or Tirerack... The Nittos may be your only choice for the time being...

I love the MTs. I have a new pair for my 1993 Z28 that I'll be selling to buy new MT's for the SS. Nitto's are very good also, you'll be happy either way you go.

MT's are for sure a better tire, But I've always had the Nitto's last longer on daily driven duty.

MT doesn't make a DR to fit our wheels yet...the large calipers we have are limiting our wheel/tire choices for drag stuff right now...once the after market catches up I'm sure MT will be in the mix.
