My Texas speed Long Tube install

Ordered my Longtubes from the WS6store.com. Went with the 2" polished stainless version. Off road mid pipes. and wire extensions. WS6store was able to get the 2" headers for me even though they did not list them on the site. and also free shipping!!. Will do business with them again for sure..

The sound is great!! it is loud and that's what I like. I helped a buddy install a set of tsp headers before and its very easy to put the gaskets on the wrong way. I still did it with both sides!!!! had to take it all apart to flip them around, not fun !!!

Before ordering them I was informed by ws6store that texas speed said they would require the steering knuckle boot to be trimmed back. easy enough, I just cut it off. But I think at a 1/4 turn to the left the knuckle is actually hitting one of the primary tubes. i'll have to get a better look when its cool in the daytime. secondly the offroad pipes are made to look like cats, which is fine, but it is resting on the transmission cross member. i'm going to need to put a dent in the mid pipe to make it not rattle. the other close fit area is on the starter bracket, there is a bolt head that's realllllly close to the tube but isn't touching, shouldn't touch either when driving as its a part of the engine and will torque will the headers under load. or at least that's my thoughts.

last little thing that bugged me was the clamps that came with the kit. they look like they are a 2.5" clamp as they do not come close to closing down when tightened. maybe that's how they are or maybe they are wrong?? not sure.

I'll get a clip up as soon as I can. I want to fix the rattles before I take it out again

I can attest, his exhaust is loud! Don't think I'm looking for that loud but at the last meet I could hear his car amongst heavy traffic (100-200 yards away) before he made it to where we were.
