I am also 6'2" and had the exact same feeling in my Monte Carlo but got used to it. You learn to adapt and it is a non-issue now.

like has been mentioned, we are all different...
some folks have a long torso, shorter legs and the opposite.
i'm about equal top/bottom

i lean pretty far back (wife says i lay down) but it is still an issue.

i wonder of non-OnStar mirrors are different?

heck, there is probably some adjustment that i didnt find... kinda like all the adjustments on the stereo!

that means that the mirror is 38.75% the size of the vertical windshield...
it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

well rear view mirrors that I have always had seem to catch a little of something besides the back window. But Im sure it depends on height where you have the seat etc. I would imagine though when people design cars they design it around a certain size and height so if you are way outside that average im sure you might have a problem

I'm 5' 11'' and I noticed this too when I went to check out the new Camaro. I even took a picture with the camera agaist my face looking into the mirror, so it is literally from my exact perspective. Also, check out the sun visor from my perspective... check it out.

I know what you're talking about when you mention the blind spot. I have the same problem with my 1971 Z28. When you come to a 4-way stop, I always look around the mirror because it blocks any car to the right. Shouldn't be a problem for me when I get a new one because I've been doing this for 14 years. Scared the shit out of me when I first noticed it though!!!

It's obviously a 6' 2" problem. Shrink and you all should be good!!!

I always adjust my mirrors as high as they will go. Just makes sense to me.
This one does not seem to be "upward compatable"

Over all the car is amazing. Yes, there are going to be some items which individuals may find fault with, (AND I'M NOT TRYING TO START AN ARGUMENT!) but, please, I don't want to see "__________ FAIL" thread, and this "__________ FAIL" thread.

As Scott has repeated over and over, NO CAR is perfect, and you're not going to please everyone.

Criticizing a car is welcome, as long as it doen't turn in to "nit picking".

Yes, "this" could be different, "that" could be done differently, but BIG PICTURE; THE CAR IS AWESOME. And we should not "miss the forest for the trees". Be glad the Camaro is back, be glad if you're fortunate enough to own one, and just enjoy it.

Well Said. I drove the car at 5' 10" and had no issues. When I had a Mini cooper S back in 03 if you were the first at a light you could not see it because the wind shield surround blocked your view...All cars have flaws.

Switch the mirror if it is not what you like. I do not like the stereo control placement and there is nothing I can do...it is not switchable. So I will live with it.

This might qualify as the least troublesome thing on the whole car. I don't see how you can complain unless we are now to the point where the car is actually so good that the collective we is now complaining about the ISRV mirror.

The mirror is shit on my dads Prius, and I've driven that for many miles now when we go like half the family somewhere. Just takes some getting used to.

Yes, my dad has a Prius. I know.

Hello,

Took one on a long test drive today.... no problem with the mirror.

The 2 side mirrors are all you really need most of the time..

I you want to see who's following your dust it works for that.

LOL

When I sat in a 1LT at the Dealer it seemed ok to me (6'2" here), it was up higher.
In fact it looked like a 2 ended ball joint that could be lifted up then readjusted like my truck's mirror.

Better view:
