96 in a.... on ramp. the state trooper was nice enough to let me have that instead of the 104 in a 65. we had a nice convo about camaros though. 2 weeks later 73 in a 65, that county guy wasn't as nice. no tickets since than.

Got a warning for 72 in a 50 about a month after I got the Camaro. The cop was super nice and asked if I knew how fast I was going. I played dumb (which is not hard for me) because I had been going 90+ just messing around. I didn't want to admit 90, and he said he had me @ 72. Thank goodness I'm a middle aged bald guy with no outstanding warrants or I might not have been so lucky...

I got ya beat BilJ. The 5 over fine here in DE is $65.60 total
Thats my normal "street" reduction if you are nice and under 30 over ( I start around 20 and over)
31-39 over I reduce to 20 over which is $166.40.
40+ is a "full ride" starting at $267.20

I am ticket free for the last 20 years. Don't own a radar detector and try to stay within 10 mph over the limit.

My wife got busted for 87 in a 65 in her minivan. $412, plus traffic school fee.

WTH are you talking about? This is a thread about getting tickets. I actually have a picture of the ticket with "100+" on it. Who said anything about racing?

I got 2 tickets in the first 2 months with my new Camaro.

1st: 85 in a 55 (construction zone) but only got written up for 5 over.

2nd: 95 in a 55 (construction zone) and got written up for 5 over again.

Both times the cops were very nice, and seemed to appreciate my honesty that I was speeding and getting around people who were clearly bad drivers. And in my defense... I am not a dangerous driver. Athough they were "technically" construction zones, there were no workers present, and nothing but signs and barrels. I would never put lives at risk, I am just a spirited driver.

Since then, I moved so my morning commute rarely involves an express way. No tickets or encounters since.

No ticket in the Camaro. Drove it all summer 2009 with no problem. I put it away for the winter in late September and got a ticket in our Buick Centry (the old lady car) two weeks later. I was doing 55 in a 30, he wrote it as 49.

What say you?
Before I got my laser jammer, got tagged at 166 in a 110 zone. Cop was actually pretty nice about it, and wrote me up for 139kms, to spare me from taking points of my license. He loved my car, though!

66/45, but he reduced it to 59/45, which kept it off my record.

The first fine we have is 10mph over the speed limit....we dont have a 5 over or any thing inbetween here. i guess we could still stop them but theres no fine unless its 10over.....but i dont typically stop any one unless they are going 15mph over the limit....and i stop alot of cars...im usually good for 2-3 ticket books a month

103 in a 55 when I first got the car didnt realize how fast she got up there and I was slowing down. Was it dumb sure but it was a rural hwy and 75% of us have probably had it up there at one point or another. first ticket in 13 years. Lawyered up 500 fine and serviced the community for 40 hours. I was very lucky.
