On the other hand, going at 75 mph vs 65 mph means that you have 54% more drag on your car. Around those speeds, even slowing down 5 mph is worth around 25% less drag.
Weight does have some effect in his case with hills and mountains. However, the .36 drag coefficient is quite hefty...it's the price you pay for a big Mustang-eating mouth on the front.

For example, on my SS, I can get in the 20s while on the highway only. But realistically, I am getting 17 MPG over a tank.
I was referring to getting the true Highway numbers without the stop and go lumped in.

my car has been horrible on gas since last week, not sure why, thought it was the weather but its not.
Getting about 18L/100km city
and 11L/100km highway
About a week ago it was pretty good, all with the same driving habits and weather conditions
Oh well im going to change my oil and see what happens. Oil has 85% oil life left but i changed it before storage, not since, could be the culprit
Oh and now that i just got my Solo exhaust put on, you dont even want to know my gas milage, but you;d want to hear it

25.32 mpg hwy

Made a Saturday trip from Omaha to Lincoln for a HS baseball doubleheader (won 2).

Filled up heading out, filled up upon return.

Averaged about 70 mph. 75 highest.

112.7 miles, 4.45 gallons 87 octane. 25.32 mpg.

Just ticked over 700 miles on the odometer.

Had to detail spray the bugs off the fascia between games. Got lots of nice comments on the bumblebee.

23.7 mpg since about late February. I stopped resetting it to get a good average. Average speed is around 35 to 38 mph. If I ever thought about conserving I could probably get about 25 easy.

I'm averaging (just went over 2000 miles) 16.6 MPG in City and 27.9 on Highway.....but it seems that the more miles I put on the car it gets better MPG. A friend of mine has had his V6M6 since last May about (6500 miles) and he gets 31 MPG on Highway and 18 in City.

After 5000 miles, I get about 22.5 MPG, average speed 37 MPH. I drive 33% Highway, 33% secondary road (50 MPH zone) and 33% neighborhood (30 MPH zone). Pretty happy with that! I went from 20.5 to 22.5 MPG when switching from normal to super last month, although that could be because the average temperature went from -15 celsius this winter to 10-15 celsius in March.

I was wondering if a CAI would help the mileage in a significative way?

Phil

after 9,000km (5,600 miles) and am averaging 13.1 L/100km. Which translates to 18 mpg.

V6, automatic, pretty much all city driving, (and not really babying it either )
