Other vehicles getting neglected?

Both my motorcycle and my Camaro are only used as weekend/fun vehicles. Lately, I have been finding myself always driving the Camaro on nice weekends and neglecting my poor Harley (I haven't ridden it since June and I used to ride it quite a bit). Since Summer will soon be coming to an end, I've decided to get it out of the garage more. Anybody else in the same boat with another "fun vehicle" being parked all too often? Post pics of the other vehicle if you have them! Name: VROD.jpg

I've let my wife take over the driving duties on this one. I'd rather take the Camaro out for a spin. Last time I drove the Mustang was a couple of months ago.

Between two drivers in our house, we had 3 cars and 2 motorcycles.

It became evident with the acquisition of my Camaro and also a 3rd vehicle, that the bikes weren't getting used as much. In the same timeframe, two of our friends were hit while riding motorcycles. Over the years, my other half and I had some close calls on our bikes, and he was hit at one point a long time ago. So, there was the realization that we aren't necessarily getting OLDER, but that at some point the level of risk associated with riding became worrisome.

In 2011, we decided to wait a year before doing anything with the bikes--to simply let them sit, and ride then when we got the itch. It became a chore--since they'd sit so much, just going out for a ride meant doing a full inspection of fluids, air pressures, and everything else. Dressing up in gear. Extracting the bikes from their spots in our 2-car garage. Then, once we were on the road, rebuilding skill and awareness and riding defensively. All of this to enjoy motorcycles in the roughly ~3 month period of warm/dry weather we get here in the Northwest.

Totally not worth it!!! I loved my Ducati...lots of good times. But in that year i discovered that I really wasn't going to miss riding it much anymore. So, in May 2012 I parted ways with it. We sold the other Ducati about a month later.

Yes well the Untidy Whitey's day is coming. I park my Camaro in about 2 more months until spring. Here's the you-tube of my commute out of "the holler" in wintertime.
