Awesome build!

I plan on doing a similar one over the winter with Katech.

I would love to see pictures of the interior of your car and exterior with the wheels installed.

Awesome build Derek. Thanks for including me in your build. It's always a blast working on a magazine-caliber build like this one.

Guys, it's staggering how much faster this car is than a stock Z28. I got to drive a stock Z28 at the Texas Mile this past weekend and it was much slower accelerating than Derek's. The extra 160-170rwhp gain over stock helps, but the lightened driveline does as well. Such a blast to drive.

Derek, the new suspension pieces look great! Please let us know how they perform for you once you get the car back out on the track. Curious....are those factory outer trailing arm bushings? Never seen the "yellow" bushings before?!?!?

Hello Keith,
Yes sir, those are factory, the car from the factory has all updated bushings in it. From what we have seen all are much harder in durometer than previous models with some of the bushings harder/stiffer than others depending on actual location of suspension component.

I will send you a full data comparison update soon. The components fit perfect and alignment in the rear is a snap and I can do anything I want with it

The yellow bushing is made by Tenneco in Mexico.

Stock Wheels:
Rear 19 x 11.5 = 26.5
Front 19 x 11 = 25.6

New Finspeed F5 Spyder wheels:
Rear 19 x 12 = 22.9
Front 19 x 11 = 22.4
Nice rotating weight savings.

The Ti lug nuts save a total of 2.2 LBS of rotating weight.

I was trying to have pics of the wheels on the car today but with the rain the last 2 days I decided to put it in the shop and start installing my new Sparco Seats, Schroth Belts, RPM Roll Bar and Rear Bulk Head (Both painted Factory white to match the car).
I hope to have pics with the car complete on Saturday.
