Which DR for the SS?

Ive ran on the nitto 555r drag radials before in my previous camaro and im need you guys opinion. What is the best drag radial to get for the camaro and size? I would like to leave the stock 20's on and drag radials but i heard that going to the Z06 wheels i think in the rear with 18inch drag radials would give me more of a advantage. What do you guys think i run the car every now and then at the local 1/8th mile track and drive it a little ways. I know for a fact that the 555r's last a long time and provide decent traction. Im just looking for input on some of your setups and how you like them. Thanks in advance. On the stock tires i ran 8.33@87 i want to get knocking on the doors of a 7.

if you decide on a Z06 wheel...I've got some 305/40 18s that are brand new I could sell.

I'm running 305/35/20 Nitto 555Rs. I haven't been to the track yet with them, but they're working great as daily driver tires (even in the rain).

The Nitto 555Rs are drag radials and the Nitto 555s are regular street tires.

555Rs

The Nitto NT05R is a beast. 315/35R20 but you need 10.5" or wider rims to work properly and they are an overly tight fit according to others on this site that have used them. But they hook...

If you decide on the Z06 18's, I had great success with the M & H racemaster drag radial. 275/45/18. With 550/550 at the wheels and those tires and leaving at 1100 rpm's a 1.60 60' was very consistent. I was mad at the 1.67 60's. I've never tried a 20" dr so I can't compare the two, sorry.

Stock size 275/40/20 most likely.

You could possibly run the 305/35/20s, but they should be run on a 10.0'' or wider wheel.
