Who's broken an A6 tranny?

as the title says....

I very rarely get on my car simply because we don't have enough open roads where I live. so today I got on my car and it did something weird. it shifted fine in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. but then it kinda slipped in 4th which is something I never noticed before. the shift wasn't as firm as the first three gears.

I was able to reproduce this instance multiple times. I'm wondering if this is a sign of a dead A6 tranny on the way?

what do u guys think?

List your modifications, if any.

Tapshifting won't do anything to the tranny. GM put it there for a reason, no harm.

But, with that much power going through it, the clutches are probably worn out. You can get it rebuilt and you won't have to worry about anything then! I was quoted for $2,700. They'll even modify the manual valve body or whatever to allow higher line pressure, which eliminates a lot of any delay you're experiencing with tapshift.

Anyways, get it checked out and just build it up. Abuse it as much as you want then.

It could be as simple as the transmission filter being clogged. Get the transmission serviced and a new filter installed.
