Don't use RainX ice and snow washer fluid

...I really regret using it. The stuff created a gummy haze that after two scrubbings one with hot water mixed with car wash and the other with glass cleaner, is almost- but not quite- gone.

I love regular RainX but this crap is something else. I noticed a sheen on the glass after my first use, figured it was from road salt and muck. Nope, it's from the washer fluid. The passenger wiper made a nice, light gray diagonal line where it stops it's sweep in the middle of the windsheild. Wherever this stuff hit glass and wasn't wiped off it left this almost resin-y glaze in droplet-sized little circles and streaks, I could push it around with a cloth soaked in cleaner, but it wouldn't come off until I used hot water followed by cleaner. The cloth I used to clean feels slightly tacky!

What a mistake. Stay away in my opinion.

Heck, I wouldn't even drink city water, let alone use it on my Camaro.

I've used it before and never had anything like that happen. Was your washer bottle completely empty when you added it? Just wondering if it might have reacted with something else in your washer bottle.

Now that I think about it, I think mine was the normal RainX washer fluid.

The stuff I use is an orange color from Rainx and I've never had any problem either.

How does that have anything to do with his problem?

had you used RAINX on your windshield prior to using the WW fluid?
I know the RAINX WW fluid is supposed to refresh the regular rainx on you windshield, maybe something happened?

I have tried that stuff before I had my Camaro & had similar problems. My favorite version of RainX currently is the spray cleaner/RainX. It is much easier to use than the original RainX which was always a PITA. I also will never use the RainX washer fluid again.
