I understand that these are great wires and have very low resistance, but come on, why do people claim 0 ohms?
I know that they are billed as 0 ohms, but that is simply marketing BS

Plus the spark is carried on the outside of the core, not the center, so ohm reading doesn't really mean anything.

It is just marketing.

I was given a set of those wires to make up for the royal shot in the backside I took from that loser, and they are bulk wires like you can buy from autozone with their own boots and covers placed on them... They were put on my car while I was off talking to other vendors. We dissected one... I put my factory wires back on...

so i am having the same problem with our setup .shorty headers and high end wires and heat sleeves, and its burning through and destroying plug wires. we are going to wrap headers where its in contact with plugs and they are talking about ceramic coating the shorty's .Definitely interested in a fix for this issue.

Don't run the fiberglass sleeves, and make sure nothing touches. If anything touches the plug/wire then it is just a matter of time. Factory metal shields work best. Get a good fitting wire set.

Ceramic coating won't help.

Stock manifolds work great too with fitment/heat shielding.

The good 2500f ceramic coatings will help a lot if the wire is just close to, but not touching the manifold. Those coatings are like $500-$600 for shorties.

Easier and cheaper just to wrap some titanium wrap around the tubes near the wires. If perhaps not visually as nice.

IMO it would be more effective though, plus you could layer to give more protection if needed

You need an air gap for coating to hell, if it touches, it won't matter.

Wow, this thread took off. I installed the Taylors with the cool sox. There is some good gap between all the boots and the shorties (which have high temp ceramic coatings). Ill see how long they last. Next set, ill see how the boots do without the fancy heat socks. I dont have my stock heat shields and dont think they work based on the shories anyway. Not much room in there.

You should see my left forearm. I still have bruises and scabs from hours of trying to remove and install the wires/plugs from 2, 4,6,8. Really tight in there. 1,3,5,7 is much better.

My arms need to lose some weight i guess?????

BTW....car is undrivable above 5k rpm even with the co2 bottle off. just too cold here lately. Buts its better than the brick wall i was seeing at about 5500 with the bad/rotted wires.

Thanks for the good replies!
