I read your OP, and I wasn't sure if you performed the modifications or whether you bought the car in this condition. Certain things are an automatic red flag, such as cats and the computer. If you removed the cats, then see if you can negotiate if you put the cats back on the car. In many states (NY) it is illegal for a dealer to sell a car without catalytic converters, so if the dealer sold you the car in this condition then they will have to make good on all of your warranty claims.

You may want to seek some cost effective legal advice if this situation gets sticky.

No idea if it's true or not, but I've heard roll cages in a street car are dangerous since you dont have a helmet on.

Eventually it would have but it's still a modded car either way. If it's tore down now and warranty is denied I would just pay them to fix it and chalk it up to experience.

Love how everyone's so quick to quote MM stuff your all right of course but nothing states how long they can take to prove anything and in the meantime you won't have your car and they know it.

A car without cats breaks the law in every state and in every state dealers are not allowed to sell cars without cats.
For this reason you're pretty much screwed. Live and learn

FACT: Millennium Extended warranty has in their fine print that head gaskets are NOT COVERED! I found that one out the hard way!

You could try.

I was talking about the difference in actual customer service. Of course Honda, Toyota, and Subaru all blow away chevy dealers in that regard.

Nope. Manufacturers have already done their trials and stress testing and have tons of data that show if you do this to a car then these are the things that are effected and their failure rates. This data is perfectly admissible in court. It then falls upon you to prove them wrong, that what you didn't cause the failure or increase the failure rate of that part.

the magnusson moss only cover the factory 3 year/36k warranty. after that its up to the warranty companies. In this case it sounds like you have a 3rd party and not a gm warranty so you are pretty much sol unless a lawyer can prove different.
