I'd like to say 0 however i have pretty much decided on the dealership already. They have a great reputation in northern colorado. They will only charge up to 1% over MSRP. which would be 350 if i spent 35k on my Camaro. However they have a dealer lifetime waranty with free oil changes and free loaner cars when your vehicle is being worked on. so the way i see it is 350$ for lifetime oil changes, lifetime warranty, and loaner car for as long as i own the car dosent sound like a bad idea as i plan on keeping this car forever

And not a penny more. In fact, it should be quite a few dollars less than that. DON"T PAY OVER MSRP!!! MAKE THEM COME DOWN!!!!

We already have a thread dedicated to dealers who have stated they will sell at or below MSRP. When the time comes, another thread WILL be put up for those who actually purchased their vehicles at or under MSRP.

Actually I want to modify my answer. I will pay what I see as a fair price for the car and what I can afford. It all depends on the performance, quality, features, and so forth. I may decide it is worth more than MSRP, less than MSRP, or exactly MSRP. I won't pay a penny more than I think it is worth though.

You guys actually will pay MSRP? I was thinking a few hundred over invoice since I have some strings to pull.

Same as most everyone else. I won't pay above MSRP. And I will offer them invoice just to guage them. I don't care if I could afford a $100,000 camaro, it's the principle of it.

ZERO,

If I need to wait a little I will. I can't understand paying thousands extra, and it will be thousands, to have it a few months early. There will be dealers which will sell at MSRP. I remember when the H2 came out Brickel Motors in Miami would sell you one that day for $15,000 over MSRP. Down the road at Williamson Cadillac Hummer they (at the time) would not sell a car above MSRP so they had up to a 16 week wait at one point that I can handle. Willaimson by the way was selling used H2s at market price so they would buy back you H2 giving you a profit and it used for over MSRP, but if you were willing to go on the waiting list you paid MSRP. I am sure you can find a dealer to do the same, I'll buy mine from Willaimson as any GM dealer can get you the car.

i will pay ZERO over sticker. no one has to pay over sticker. if a dealer charges you over sticker....go somewhere else. there are alot of greedy dealers and then there are alot of mom and pop dealers. dont pay over sticker for anything. would you pay more for a dinner at a restaurant if they told you the price on the menu wasnt right??? no, of course you wouldnt. so dont do it with cars.

unless its a bugatti veyron or a ferarri enzo.

But what if GM priced it extremely low, lower than what it is really worth, and dealer markups brought it up into the range that it really is worth? I'd pay dealer markups then, because it is a fair price. Markups are the great equalizer. Price is determined by supply and demand. If GM's pricing makes more people demand the Camaro than the supply can handle, it is the dealer's economic duty to adjust the price to lower demand to match the supply. To fail to do so means that economic loss is suffered. That is why I plan to wait until demand falls off and production picks up to make the price match what I am willing to pay.

What it's 'worth' is what it cost for the parts and labor. Add on a REASONABLE bit for profit and THAT is what its full 'worth' is.

Supply and Demand is an excuse for greedy crooks to make an extra buck at their customers expense.
