Funny, I read the Lord of the Rings books, and absolutely loved the movies, but never saw a single one of them in the theatres! Went opening weekend to the Hobbit and can't wait for this one! Love LOTR weekends!!

Just watched The Hobbit last weekend finally. I am sure this will be as good as the other 4.

I saw the first installment a few weeks back
And I can't describe how goofy the film was, with the exception of about 10 minutes. I watched the film with two fans of Tolkien's novels and stories, and all three of us loved the 'Fellowship of the Ring', enjoyed 'the Two Towers' and thought 'The Return of the King' had horrible pacing and lost focus. Terribly disappointed in the first installment of the Hobbit.
