Tire Size
Did they mention what the tire sizes will be on the new generation for the various models? Squared or staggered?

I didn't remember seeing tire sizes. Most likely staggered, thats the norm for just about everything.

SS gets 20's but don't know if it's a square or staggered setup yet.

Just read the SS gets Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics 2 run flats. Not sure of the size though.

"The LT cars will wear 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle Sport all-season tires; SS cars will use Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2 run-flats. The cars we photographed both used 245/40R20 sizes front and rear." Looks like a smaller diameter tire even though it's still mounted on a 20" wheel. Also, no more staggered setup. This is what I was hoping for, although I wouldn't mind 19" wheels on the SS with 20"s as an option. Less rotational mass and unsprung weight. I'm sure this is one of the reasons this thing is supposed to deliver 1LE handling. That, and 200 lb weight reduction, and MRC. |

"We asked about any special engineering for the LT1 in the Camaro and Link pointed to the air/oil separator as, “an unsung hero of the car. We developed a legit air/oil separator for the LT1. That was near and dear to my heart. I spent a lot of time on that one.” As all Camaro LT1s will be wet-sump engines, Link told us the air/oil separator is cleverly packaged, so it’s hard to appreciate in the car. Its function is to keep oil out of the airbox and throttle-body—and therefore the combustion chamber—avoiding pre-ignition." Looks like there's no need to get a catch can. Chevy's got that covered. |

The wheels on display had the same size staggered tires as the 5gen SS. That's one thing I made a point to look at. But they Goodyears. I should of snapped a pic but when things are the same it's easy to remember.
