Realistic price for new 2011 2SS

I'm toying with the idea of trading in my 7-month old, 10k-mile 1LT for a new auto 2011 2SS if I can find one still in a dealers inventory within 50 miles or so.
Naturally, It'd be up to me to get the most I could for the trade but what is a realistic (but hopefully lower than it would have been well before the 2012's came out) price to expect to pay for the 2011 2SS? I underlined pay because I guess the 2nd part of the question would be what do you think a semi-motivated dealer would be asking for one along about now?

you will never make up the loss on your trade in value. In fact, you might even lose more with your trade in value w/ these incentives they are offering.

I was told by the dealer, before I signed any paperwork, that I would get 30,000 for my 2SS when I traded it in. When I went in to sign all the paper work, I saw the 2000 incentive for my new vehicle and then I saw my trade in allowence was 27,750. I was like...What...you told me 30K, I walked out and bought my new vehicle from a different dealer w/ same incentives and same trade in value. So becareful.

Tough Business Buying New Cars

Gees, I have had more than 70 cars and almost 30 new. I never let a dealership intimidate me...they need me more than I need them. If your guy won't make a good deal, tell them straight up, "I'm sure someone else will give me the deal I want....thanks and I appreciate your time"! When you do that and start to leave, they will say, "wait a minute...let's talk with the manager". If you don't get the deal, leave and try somewhere else.

There is a $1500 rebate. I just traded in my 7 month old, 6k miles LT for a 2011 1SS/RS w 17 miles almost 2wks ago. I got a good deal on it and was only upside on my old loan $1k. Used $2400 in cancelled warranties towards money down plus the $1500 rebate. My payments went up $36 a mth for the same # of mths, ins by $20 mth and my intetest ratd went from 12% to 5%. It nvr hurts to go talk to someone.

I didnt want a 2SS but they r still holding their value so ur still looking at $35k+ unless u want a used which r still high as well.

If you don't mind me asking what did they "give" you for your 1LT? I put a nice chunk down when I bought mine last April so IIRC I only owe about $14K on it @3.9%.

I bought mine on 10/1/2011 and got the $1500 factory to dealer incentive plus an additional $1000 in bonus cash that was available until 10/3/2011. Was about $1k under invoice in the end before I added in the additional $1k from my GM Card.

The most I have seen for a discount on a coupe is 5200 and for a convertible is 6500 off msrp. There are good deals out there.

$5200 off would have been nice! Too bad I really wanted SGM and it was the last new 2011 SGM SS in Houston. (probably didn't help that another dealership had already made plans to transfer the car to their dealership on the next business day)
