AFM is cylinder deactivation. The 6 has this feature in automatic transmission equipped cars, where in the past the SS automatic had it.

from Wikipedia:
Active Fuel Management (formerly known as displacement on demand (DoD)) is a trademarked name for the automobile variable displacement technology from General Motors. It allows a V6 or V8 engine to "turn off" half of the cylinders under light-load conditions to improve fuel economy. Estimated performance on EPA tests show a 5.5%-7.5% improvement in fuel economy.

GM's current Active Fuel Management technology uses a solenoid to deactivate the lifters on selected cylinders of a pushrod V-layout engine.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_Fuel_Management

What you might be hearing is the exhaust buzzing when the AFM kicks in. On my 2013 SS, it was very noticeable. On my 2017 2LT RS with dual mode exhaust, I have to really listen closely to hear it activate.

Lots of folks get it tuned out. Loss of fuel economy is minimal. BTW, Wikipedia is incorrect; the 6 shuts down 2 of the 6 cylinders, not "half".

My guess is it's the whistle off the mirror. It's very faint and you would never think that's where it's coming from.

You could always try removing the sound tube from the firewall and see if that helps. IDK, just an idea.

I have so many rattles and noises from inside the cabin in my '17. Drives me nuts lol. Try checking left vent, trim around speedo, push around the silver trim piece on the door, overhead liner including the piece with
Airbag indicator/lights, infotainment screen. So many things can make noise. These are just some of the things that have plagued me. It may very well turn out yours is something else. See if your dealership can pinpoint it.

Good luck!

Unfortunately I have to agree with this. I have a ton of noises also. Sadly you just get used to them. Or turn the music up louder LOL

buzzing noise or vibrating.. To me a buzzing noise would represent something on a frequency level.. from speakers or electronics.

What RPM does it start at? Your sound tube has a filter in it.. its a circular formation looking thing on the right side of your engine up near your strut tower area. The filter could possible be vibrating inside it while you are pulling air through the sound tube.. However pin pointing where the noise is coming from is just as important. There are alot of noises these cars make everyones car is diff.

This car makes tons of noise from the inside. Lots of creaks and rattles. Iv'e fixed 80% of them and dont hear much unless I hit some bumps. It was annoying at first but I too got used to it and dont even think twice now when I hear a rattle. its not worth it. lol
