NAILED- Kinda
Got stopped by CHP today with my 1 year old son in back. Said he noticed my exhaust was loud. I run dynatech LTs with HFs, no resonator, x-pipe and Flowmaster 50s. He ran his mirror under the car and spotted the LTs right away. He said he could impound my car, but since I had my kiddo with me he wasn't going to. He didn't even cite me. He told me he'd seen/heard my car around and he was sure that he would again, but next time I had better have something with an EO on there or stock. So it looks like I'll be taking them off this weekend and putting the stock manifolds back on until I can sell the LTs and find a set of shorties. Just wanted to let you guys know that they're watching- even when it doesn't seem like it. I've been running this setup for a year or so, but it's not really loud, but definitely very throaty. Good luck to everyone else who's been getting by like I had been.

Damn that sucks...just when I was looking into getting LTs myself. Seems like he was out to get you since he mentioned he had heard your car before.

Could have been. I ran Borla ATAKs for a while in place of the FM50s, but I knew that would draw attention so I swapped them out to try and stay out of trouble. Just another day in Cali I guess.

Oh those little bastards are here too. But I must say you have NOOOOO idea how fun it is to pass all those priusssses with your lifted truck or suburban or camaro flooring it past them taking them one step back from "saving the earth". But I think here all they want in a Prius is better gas mileage... That's it! |

Have to say that is one thing I love with NPP that I can drive without hassle and then open it up when I want. Can you got a system with cut outs so your legal when you have to be and loud when you want?
I get the noise thing as we've got a few in the neighbour hood who feel it's the thing to do and rip around the residential area in the middle of the night. Pisses me off when I get woken up at 2:00am and got to go to work in the morning. Secretly I love the sound of some of these cars but these idiots ruin it for all if us. Just a thought to look at some electric cut outs, might be a happy compromise.,
