Procharger?
Not sure if anyone has done this but just out of curiosity would anyone change out there factory sc for a procharger f1? Seems like the f1's do well on ls blocks.

No, but I would swap to turbos, or possible a paxton/vortech unit.

The only upgrade I'd really consider would be the new Maggie heartbeat or the AGP TT setup. (I'd likely go Heartbeat as I love PD blowers)

All my blower experience shows paxton/vortech makes a better unit than procharger. More reliable, good power, good power band, and good service. Can't say the same for procharger. That being said, it would be silly. If you want just a little more power, you can swap a heart beat, or as others said, AGP TT kit and make anywhere from 600-1400rwhp with the turn of a knob with a sick power band and HUGE torque numbers.

never had a problem with a procharger, I've ran plenty of them, ran vortechs also they are great as well. just preference really. if i was to change mine i would do the kennie bell or the maggie heart beat like mentioned.

I know that there's a Ford GT out there where the factory PD blower was swapped out for an F-series Procharger. He had it for a checkup on the blower a few months ago before heading to a fest down south.
Edit: Procharger signs my check twice a month so I am biased. Last edited by LOBBS; 01-03-2015 at 03:32 PM. |
