You realize that except for the V6, the CHallenger is thousands cheaper than it's Mustang and Camaro competitors right? i expect with all the changes slated it will be priced closer to the others, not lower.

So yes, except for the V6 the Challenger is already cheaper than the others.

The price will go up for 15 though, too much new hardware. We already know the Mustang prices are supposed to increase around 10% too.

Forget list price, street price is what matters: Bottom line you can pick up a 2014 R/T for under 31k, SRT8 Core for under 39k, and a full optioned SRT8 for under 45k. This pricing falls right in line with Ford and Chevy out the door pricing. I expect the new Hellcat Challenger to also be right in line with a 60k-65k street price similar to well optioned 500s and ZL1s.

Also looks like Dodge will be offering Factory/Dealer installed modifications in the form of a Scat Pack on the RT models with full warranty.

Seeing a few of these north of the headquarters every morning. Running in groups of two, camo front and rear. Those and the new 200's. They must be getting some durability miles on them... I think its retirees they get to drive these things, would be a fun part time job after retirement..

IMO halos and Challengers don't mix but oh well. Glad my Challenger doesn't have them.

Scat Packs are dealer installed only, correct? I wish GM would do something like that.

You can either have them installed by the dealer or buy one from the factory that has it built-in, at least that's my understanding.

The plus is basically Dodge's 2SS package. Leather seats, other extras. No performance gains.

This combination will be very interesting, should they decide to offer it in a "Core" model. With the new 8-speed automatic and the bump in hp, it should be a low 12 second car, possibly high 11s in the right conditions and driver.
