Cruise Control issues?
Wooott! so we took delivery today of a 2LT non-rs Camaro, Manual, black. LOVING it!
but I noticed something... the Cruise Control doesn't appear to work! I've owned a bunch of GM vehciles, and so I'm pretty sure I have the process down. (turn it on, push down on the set button, go!) It is a manual, so is there something else that needs to be done? Since I haven't seen anyone else report this issue, I'm thinking its a procedural thing... but maybe not. |

Mine is an auto , but it should be the same. Activate it then hit + or - to set it. A little light comes on in the dash.

Interesting. Light is white, but never changes color. I'm guessing it supposed to go green when activated? Pressing up or down on the thumb wheel does nothing.

I mean I could be wrong here, but I'm curious to know the answer none the less. I don't think you can have cruise control in a 6spd, I don't actually know. Can you?

Had the same issue.
I had the exact same issue with my car. Light on the dash was always white, cruise would not set. I took it to the dealer and they had it fixed within a few minutes. They said the clutch sensor was slightly out of adjustment, so the cruise control always thought the clutch was depressed (Hence, would not set). Since they adjusted the sensor it has worked perfect.

+1 with the clutch switch. The body control module always sees the clutch is pressed down with the switch out of adjustment. Also try pulling up on the pedal with the top of your foot while trying to set the cruise and see if it works. This would again confirm just an adjustment with the switch or pedal travel is needed.

The light on the steering wheel for mine does not come on anymore when I click on it. Any idea on how to change this?

There have been numerous issues of failed clock springs connectors in the steering column. This the connector that allows the wiring from the steering wheel buttons to turn with the wheel and remain in contact with the stationary wiring in the column.
