thinking about getting high flow cats , but have some questions

i am going for sound over gains... right now i have a corsa cat back. an K&N CAI... i was looking at jba high flow cats...only 391 pretty good deal.

how much louder will my car be? . and will a tune be needed?
should i get a handheld tuner... can they put my car back to stock if needed with out leaving a foot print

right now i am warranty safe.

but even if the new cats will not throw a code i am worried that i might need my warranty one day and they will give me a hard time for the cats...

will it be fine to just put the stock cats back on if i need to. i will have a shop put them on and off btw... i know this will cost allot of money but in the long run its worth keeping my warranty.

I recently installed the JBA high flow cats on my car. I have the stock exhaust and can tell you when I punch it is at least twice as loud as it was, sounds awesome to me. I would imagine it would be much louder with a cat back system.

No you dont need a tune, that is the best reason for going with HF cats over LT headers. The gains are not as good but you still get solid gains for $400 imo. I know they did a before and after of the Solo HF cats and the car picked up 23 HP. I would bet 15-20 HP is realistic expectations.

Yes, you can easily put the stock Cats back on, it is a bolt on so that wont be an issue.

No codes on at least 10 to 20 of us that have done them already.

I dont think warranty would be an issue but technically ANY mod could void the warranty but I think its unlikely they could prove that HF cats caused the malfunction. JMO
