my sales guy was Ruben. Im not sure what kind of tint the guy uses but he said it had a lifetime warranty and he gave me his business card in case i had any problems with it. I got 35% all the way around. I would definately recommend him

contour tinting in chantilly does excellent work. 180 for any 2 door.

I have a medical waiver as well. 35% all the way around except windshield. With waiver you can put 70% on your windshield. I have black and IO interior. Go with the good stuff for your car. Not saying you should overpay, but make sure you will not need to do it again due to the quality of tint used. Also, lifetime warranties are only good if you can find the installer. National chains can be more accessible some times.

I used LA tint in sterling too. They did an absolutely perfect job.

So I went to LA Tint in Woodbridge, VA on Friday and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I will be taking my vehicle back because the tint line around my third brake light on the back glass is jagged and not fully adhered to the glass in places. I didn't catch it until I got home, so I guess that's on me.

This might be just my own OCD issue, but one of the guys kept touching my paint! I wanted to scream aloud but just kept it in and tried to think of a happy place . . . if there is one thing that will drive me nuts - it's not having respect for a black paint job.

I'll try to post some pictures when I get the car cleaned up . . . it's covered in that damned soap film they used on the tint . . .

I ended up doing 50% in the front and 35% on the back glass to stay legal, and for some reason they didn't have all the "paperwork" to do the nation-wide warranty. When I told them that being in the military the nation-wide warranty was the big reason I decided to go with their shop, they magically produced an "old" warranty card that they said "should" still be ok . . . seems shady, eh?

Sounds like they are going down hill. I had a better experience. I am sure followups can be part of the service. As long as they fix it on the first try.

Here is a picture of what I was talking about with the back brake light. As you can see, the tint around the brake light is not pressed evenly to the glass and it is not cut smoothly - you can see how jagged it is in the upper right hand corner of the brake light. To make matters worse, when I got into the back seat of the car to get a good look . . . there are several very fine scratches in the tint that are 4 to 5 inches long!!! I'm pretty sure the back tint is going to have to be replaced. Would you be happy with this?

I'm pretty upset. Should I give these jokers a chance to fix it or take it to one of the other LA Tint locations and hope for better service?

Take it back and talk to head man. Mine looks much better, and they had cut it by hand since there were not templates available when I got mine done. They will make it right.

I got mine done in Alexandria (behind Cameron Station and Home Depot). They did a great job, I can get you the name of the place if you want it.

I'd call LA tint and complain. Document everything and keep going up the chain until you are satisfied.

I've been in touch with the manager of the LA Tint Woodbridge location via email and he says he wants to make this right. I can't bring my car in until next week so I will let you know how it goes.

Is it unreasonable to bring a clean car into their shop and expect it to leave without soap residue all over it? I mean if they have to spray the film down, they have a work bench to do it . . . they don't have to do it on the car, right? Little things like this show the difference between a true professional installation and a bunch of clowns in my opinion . . . but maybe I'm being too harsh.

yeah, I did not have that issue. Sorry, it has been about two years since I went there. I will not recommend them going forward. Thanks for the heads up.

I've got an appointment on Wednesday to get the rear tint reinstalled - giving them a chance to redeem themselves and hope it was just a one time mistake. I'll update then, wish me luck . . . again!
