Guys... this is the 80% production test model and was spied last spring going around the ring. It's very likely that an actual production model could do a good bit faster.
Here's video... Quote:

Not that Heinricy can't drive but I don't think its that impressive. I will say however, that with a good suspension set up and some sticky tires, it could likely post a very repsectable time. I threw a bunch of money at the suspension on my Cayman and had it corner balanced and it was a whole new car.

Want to see what a 7:26.4 lap looks like behind the wheel of a ZR1?

What time does a Z51 Vette run the Ring in? That would be the ideal comparison...almost identical powerplant...Camaro weighs a bit more though...it would be nice to know how it holds up...

Using the Ring times is not a very accurate way to compare cars IMO unless they use the same driver for each car. That course is so long that even the tiniest difference in driving style can mean +/- seconds per lap.
Isn't it amazing how we as consumers get sucked in to the BS marketing? How many of us will REALLY notice the difference in performance or better yet even be able to take advantage of it? Most of us are only going to care how quickly we get from stoplight to stoplight or onto the freeway. Comparing numbers like these is almost like inmates comparing dick size...even if you got a monster it's not like you can use it...well at least your cell mate hopes not.
