zl1 front bumper

yeah ive seen the one from garys customs. i was just wondering on the quality of the bumper from rpi. The prices are very different.

Was also wondering about this... The bumper with all the conversion parts including paint for around a grand seems like a pretty sweet deal.

yeah they say they let the paint dry for a week. What kind of car paint takes a whole week to dry? Should take a few hours max

The less expensive ZL1 front end exact copies that appeared on this forum and eBay about two months ago are supposedly made in Taiwan.

I have no information on their quality.

As to letting the paint dry/cure before shipping... It is a good idea to give it a few days before being wrapped in the packing material. I ordered a painted (black) fender from out of state and they packed it probably a day too soon. There was some transfer of texture from the bubble wrap to the fender which looked like a hologram. I ended up having to polish it out.

yea but 3 weeks. takes a day to paint, maybe 2 days. lets say you start on Monday finished Wednesday, that thing is ready and should be shipped by at least the next monday

i think thats the same bumper that autosource sells and it works great, personally love it
