New icon showed up on Mylink - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, I own a 2013 Camaro 2SS with Mylink. Yesterday while waiting in a carwash, I noticed a never before seen icon on Mylink. You can see it in the picture below, right above the AM icon. It looks like a WiFi thing but not sure what is the purpose of it. It was darkened and I never figured out how to activate it. Anyone have an idea of what it is and how it works? Thanks

If you are referring to the icon next to the shuffle icon, pretty sure it is the indicator that shows when you are using voice recognition. At least it is that way in my car....

In mine too, but this time this icon appeared to the left of the voice recognition icon, just like on this pic if you watch carefully

Yes looks like the WiFi sign to me which Chevy is supposed to offer on most models. However I don't see the Camaro listed as having it. I have a 2014 and don't see it. What's the latest software version and have you taken it to the dealer recently for an update? I don't see any updates online and even though when you google MyLink it says login to your account to find updates but I never see anything about mylink when I login in to my Chevy Owners account.

I would like to see an actual picture of your Mylink and not a picture from the internet. I too have a '13 and do not see that icon..

it says login to your account to find updates but I never see anything about mylink when I login in to my Chevy Owners account.

The units have native wifi support, thats what that icons for. If it just randomly showed up your unit is starting to fail.

I'm seeing the same icon. Trying to figure it out but not having much luck. Please post if you find an answer.

It's been a few months since I saw the icon and it never reappeared so I couldn't take a picture. FYI it happened before I ever went back to the dealer since I bought it. Last October I did the wifi free upgrade for Canadian customers and even if the wifi worked, this icon never reappeared.
