I agree you should spend the money on upgrading your wheels first. But, yes Rally Stripes would look good on your car as well. Besides black, you could do carbon fiber, charcoal gray, red or even blue.

Although I have Rally Stripes, I added hash marks to mine because from the side all you saw was a red car - I'm okay with the look.

Another thing you could try, being that you have hash marks already, is some kind of a single stripe in the center of the hood instead of the two Rally Stripes.

This. Anyway, if you do Rally's, maybe get gloss black and not matte. Or charcoal perhaps. Silver with flat black stripes doesn' t stand out. SLP has some really nice hockey stick stripes too, that is an option.
If you want wheels, check Craigslist. SS takeoffs are pretty affordable. That said I like the steelies. Want a set for winter.

Same here. I don't care for horizontal AND vertical lines on a car. One or the other - I prefer stripes - less wind resistance.

Of course if you only have one car in the team they are senseless.
Driver side/hood/nose. Pit stripes Started in the 60's to identify team cars that were the same colors as they came down pit lane. It's definitely NOT a Dodge thing either. Was started by either Chevy on the Vettes or Shelby on the Cobras I think.

Since most of the times the driver sits on the left driver changes are easier if they pit right.
It also helps the crew chief spot the cars while they are on the track and passing the pits.
On a road course most spotters are on the outside of the course so it makes sense to have the marks on both sides of the car.

These days they have transponders in all the cars so it's easy to know which car is where. But they still use color cues like different colored side mirrors or a different banner on the windshield and they work no matter which side the pits or spotters are on.

They used to have one stripe or two. I am a bit confused why everyone seems to want to be #2.
Think that's just what's become popular. Some were double stripe, some were single, some were colored. Lookin' back through historic photos is kinda neat.

Rally stripes are worth it.

What about something unique like a thick stripe in the center and two thinner stripes on each side?
